The Race For L.A. - Behind Stephen Box's Campaign, Part III
This is the third and final episode of our three-part video documentary series on the March 8 Los Angeles primary election. Watch Part I here. Watch Part II here.
District 4 L.A. City Council incumbent candidate Tom LaBonge came out on top in a competitive heat Tuesday night when the March 8 Los Angeles primary election came to a head. Stephen Box and Tomas O’Grady both fought to unseat LaBonge, to no avail. They were competing for votes in a wide area composed of Silver Lake, Los Feliz, Hollywood and Koreatown. The city is in an economic and fiscal crisis, and its budget shortfall will be as high as $350 million for the next year, according to a March report.
Neon Tommy followed the campaign and volunteers behind Stephen Box's candidacy. Locals Josef Bray-Ali and Patrick Pascal, in their campaign efforts for Box, combined their passion for L.A. with their passion for bicycles.
