Police guarding Madison's capitol building tackled a Democratic representative Thursday evening who was trying to get to his office.

South Range Representative Nick Milroy was mistaken by police as a protester and subsequently taken down when he attempted to go into the building.

Earlier Thursday, a judge had ordered the closure of the rotunda to the public, and some of the protesters who had been camped out inside didn't want to leave.

Time reports:

The whole altercation was caught on film by WISN-TV, igniting a free-for-all across the Internet. However, Milroy maintains that it was merely a misunderstanding, and told the Wisconsin State Journal that he was pleased with the way the police handled the situation. "There was no harm, no foul in this incident... It's been a long couple of weeks for law enforcement officers, it's been a long couple of weeks for me.

Take a look at video of the incident below.
