Promoters of HARD kick off the season with their first ever “HARD Weekend” production in California and New York.

The promoters have planned two consecutive weekends of music starting in Oakland at the Fox Theater on March 11 and in Los Angeles at Club Nokia on March 12 and ending in New York at Terminal 5 on March 18 and 19.

The promoters of HARD continue to advance their productions in Los Angeles, this time featuring a variety of major and up-and-coming artists, showing off wholesome production standards and providing a more intimate environment for music lovers.

Simian Mobile Disco will be headlining each night with an hour and a half live set.

“Simian Mobil Disco has their own production and put on a really special live show with their own samples and synths,” said HARD promoter Danny Bell, “we bring in the best sound technicians to fine tune the sound and this year we are bringing in extra speakers so that everyone can get the full experience.”

Since the event will be held at Club Nokia the event will be smaller compared to some of their other productions, like “HARD Halloween” at the Shrine Auditorium.

The event organizers have planned and hope to run a smooth sold out event, where people feel safe and have fun.

“HARD weekend” organizers improved ticketing by modifying their ticket pick-up routine and promise short waiting time and separate lines for will-call ticket pick-up and venue entrance.

“We set up a ticket booth in the courtyard promenade near the escalators at Club Nokia and that’s where the Grooveticket pickup booth will be set up, so before anyone can get on the escalator they have their tickets,” said Bell, “it shouldn’t be more than a 10 minute wait to pick up your ticket.”

Other HARD events to look forward to include Rusko, popular Dubstep DJ, headlining at the Wiltern on May 14.  Dubstep artists Doorly and Destructo will open for Rusko.

Finally, the event “HARD summer” hopes to redefine the music festival experience at the Los Angeles State Historic Park on August 6. The event features four stages and huge headlining acts across a variety of genres.

In addition, HARD organizers have tweaked certain aspects of their festivals planning and production to ensure fan safety and satisfaction.

“This year we made it a night event that runs from 6 p.m. until 2 a.m. instead of from noon to midnight. So we shortened the hours and made it a night event,” said Bell, “We set up environments for attendees to feel safe, feel like they belong, and have fun. Our events are for people who might not attend electronic music shows and who may not be part of the ‘scene.’”
