Gaga For Rebecca Black
Although Gaga has not watched 13-year-old Rebecca Black’s video sensation on YouTube (about to hit 39 million viewers), she said it was “fantastic” that Black had achieved fame on YouTube.
The hourlong talk with Google included Gaga answering questions from fans (she calls them her “little monsters”) on YouTube, Google employees, Twitter, Google Moderator and Google’s vice president of consumer products, Marissa Mayer.
Gaga had asked fans to submit questions to her via YouTube last week, as she was the first artist to amass 1 billion views on the video hosting site.
The singer (real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta), took the time to announce a new music video she’ll be directing for her song “Judas.”
Rebecca Black’s auto-tuned song “Friday” has generated an overwhelming negative response from YouTube viewers, but people still can’t stop watching. Her song has made anywhere from $70,000 to $700,000, according to Forbes. She announced last night on Jay Leno’s “Tonight Show” that she will be donating proceeds from her video to Japan and to her school.
