Early Start, Quiet Afternoon At District 8 Polling Locations

Forscee Hogan-Rowles, challenger to L.A. City Councilman Bernard Parks, in the eighth district race for city council had to cast her ballot outside on Tuesday morning because the doors to her polling location had yet to even open.
The early start to the Election Day subsided to a quiet afternoon at some locations.
Only two people visited a polling location at a fire station near USC during an hour-long span in the afternoon. Neither was willing to talk a reporter.
At an Exposition Park polling location, three people voted during a span of two hours. One person who couldn't speak english and one who didn't have the time to talk. The last voter--an eldery man--was willing to share his thoughts on protests in Libya but not so much on L.A. politics.
Similarly lonely scenes were reported at two other South L.A. polling locations on Tuesday afternoon.
