Insomniac Events, the promoters of various electronic dance music festivals and shows, will put on its second annual Beyond Wonderland festival on March 19th at the NOS Event Center in San Bernardino.

The EDM craze has lead to the stigmatic overuse of the word “epic”, but no word describes it better. Having consistently put on flawless events including their epic New Years Eve party Together as One, Insomniac kicks off this year with the anticipated springtime massive similar to last year's Nocturnal Festival.

The promoters of Insomniac have been producing Nocturnal since they began in 1993. Last year Insomniac released a statement that said, “We’ve thrown Nocturnal Festival for years, and prior to that Insomniac invested close to a decade of love into Nocturnal Wonderland.”

Their mission for the second year of the Beyond Wonderland festival is to create an escape and an adventure for EDM dance fanatics. Insomniac recruits hot talent acts for each of their events and the performers for this years’ Beyond Wonderland are no exception.

This year's lineup is a blend of many artists in various genres within Electronic Dance Music (EDM) scene including Dubstep, Techno, Trance and Electro. The festival will have four stages of music spread out within the NOS Event Center Grounds. Artists Dirty South, Calvin Harris, Adrian Lux and Kaskade to name a few, will play on the Queens Domain main stage.

Bass-seekers can look forward to performances by the mischievous Noisia crew, Jakwob, Datsik and Dirtyphonics on the “Caterpillars Garden” stage.

Instead, performing at the “Madhatter's Castle” stage, the Insomniac promoters bring a bill of trance artists, including Cosmic Gate and Andy Moor. Closing out the night on this stage will be psychedelic trance crew, Infected Mushroom performing live.

Additionally, insomniac events introduce new artists to EDM fans by bringing in international acts. This year, for example, Judge Jules, a prominent trance DJ from the UK, will perform on the Castle stage.

Based on the event trailer and name, the theme borrows from Alice in Wonderland, which may be an attempt to stimulate nostalgia for wondrous excitement and awe that Alice experiences on her journey.

Beyond Wonderland has dates in two cities; March 19th in San Bernardino and May 14th in Seattle. The event starts at 3pm and runs until 2am. Tickets cost $55 for General Admission and $125 for VIP and can be found on the Beyond Wonderland event page.
