Angry Birds Rio Is ‘Most Downloaded App’
The widely popular Apple game download, Angry Birds, recently teamed up with a new animated film to create an even more popular game that was just released this morning.

The game was released today in order to coincide with tonight’s world premiere of the animated movie, "Rio," which is being held in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Already, Angry Birds Rio has more downloads than any other game app, which includes consumers in the US and in 49 other foreign markets.
The launch of Angry Birds Rio was the biggest yet for Finnish company, Rivio, the creator of Angry Birds. Fox teamed up with Rivio—and was the first studio to do so—for the release of Angry Birds Rio, which was said to be a natural fit as well as a stroke of marketing genius.
Mikael Hed, Rovio’s CEO, said Rovio is “glad to bring exciting new gameplay elements and a fresh, thrilling new Angry Birds experience to all our fans worldwide.”
The movie "Rio" features the voice-over talent of Jesse Eisenberg as a macaw named Blu, and Anne Hathaway as Blu’s mate, Jewel. Both were present in Rio for the world premiere.
Angry Birds Rio features two episodes and 60 levels, and is available on the iPhone and the iPad, as well as for Android users.
