1. Soft Curls

This year's biggest beauty trend on the red carpet was soft curls that evoked the Golden Age of Hollywood glamour. The curls proved to be simple, chic and tremendously elegant for the Oscars. Stars who wore the look: Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams, Scarlett Johansson, Celine Dion and Natalie Portman.

2. Soft Up Dos

Aside from soft curls, soft up dos and buns also made a repeated appearance, adding sophistication to many of the looks. Stars who wore the look: Hailee Steinfield, Mila Kunis, Mandy Moore, Hilary Swank, Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway.

3. Sleek Ponytails

The last hair style on this list is sleek ponytails, which created a fun but nonetheless put together look. Stars who wore the look: Reese Witherspoon.

4. Pink/Red Lips

Pink and red lips added a romantic feel to the beauty trends this year, in line with the girly beauty trends that have been prevalent this entire season. Stars who wore the look: Mandy Moore, Amy Adams, Scarlett Johansson, Hilary Swank, Anne Hathaway, Mila Kunis.

5. Smokey Brown Shadow/ Smokey Purple Shadow
