Marcus Roberson, one of the top defensive backs in the nation, signed with Florida early Wednesday morning.

The 6-foot, 180 pound Roberson decommitted from Auburn on Tuesday just after a day after choosing the Tigers. He then narrowed his choices down to USC and the Gators. However, the Trojans were unable to get Roberson to leave the state of Florida.

Roberson played cornerback for St. Thomas Aquinas High in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. but could potentially play safety for the Gators.

Roberson is ranked as a four-star recruit by Scout, Rivals and ESPN. Rivals lists Roberson as the No. 2 cornerback in the nation while Scout and ESPN project him as a safety. Rivals has him as their No. 4 safety while ESPN has him at No. 9. He is also ranked No. 112 in ESPNU's top 150.
