Karlos Williams, the No. 1 safety in the nation according to ESPN , officially signed with Florida State early Wednesday morning.

The 6-foot-2, 210 pound big-hitting safety from Ridge Community High in Davenport, Fla. visited USC on January 14.

However, the Trojans were unable to sway Williams from his committment to Florida State.

He is listed as a five-star recruit by Scout, Rivals and ESPN. Scout and Rivals rank Williams as the No. 2 safety in the country behind Hasean Clinton-Dix, who is expected to sign with Alabama. ESPN lists Williams as the top safety and has him No. 5 overall in the ESPNU top 150.
