Justin Bieber, the 16-year-old pop star and tween idol, had the Internet buzzing after a candid interview with Rolling Stone magazine about health care, abortion and sex.

"You guys are evil," Canadian Bieber told Rolling Stone contributing editor Vanessa Grigoriadis. "Canada's the best country in the world. We go to the doctor and we don't need to worry about paying him, but here, your whole life, you're broke because of medical bills.”

In addition to weighing in on the healthcare debate, Bieber said he is anti-abortion, but unsure of his opinion in cases of rape.

“Well, I think that's really sad, but everything happens for a reason,” said Bieber when asked about abortion after rape. “I don't know how that would be a reason. I guess I haven't been in that position, so I wouldn't be able to judge that."

Bieber, who is reportedly dating Selena Gomez, also shared his opinions on sex.

"I don't think you should have sex with anyone unless you love them,” said Bieber.

Comments on online articles about the interview across the Web both support and attack Bieber for his comments.

“Give the kid a break,” wrote Chrystal, who did not give her last name, on popeater.com. “He was asked these questions and tried to answer them honestly. And everyone is entitled to an opinion on abortion or anything else.”

Other people who commented online also defended Bieber’s right to have an opinion.

“He's entitled to his opinions... people need to not be going off on him... you may not agree but people need to agree to disagree and still be civil,” wrote Sebastian Saliast on rollingstone.com.

Other comments were not so kind to Bieber.

“When he gets a uterus, he can have a say in abortion rights,” wrote Kacey, who also did not provide her last name, on popeater.com.

Some comments were not angry at Bieber’s responses, but at Rolling Stone for asking the questions.

“I can't believe Rolling Stone would ask a 16 year old boy these questions,” wrote Bena Lun on rollingstone.com. “… Here we are forcing a teenage boy to say whether he thinks a person should be allowed to have an abortion after being raped!”

The complete article hits newsstands and goes online Feb. 18.

Its funny how societys message has always been "Don't get raped/Be careful" instead of "DONT FUCKING RAPE ANYONE!" male dominated society showing its colors in my opinion, I'm ashamed of being part of a species that thinks like this.

I didn't give a shit about Justin Bieber before this, but how about this you little twerp, if I punch you in your little midget face, then you can tell me what the grand reason behind that?

Rapists are scum.

He shouldn't talk about something that he doesn't understand. However when I was 16 I had enough brains to realize rape is a very serious issue to touch on. Saying "Rape happens for a reason" is disgusting. So if Justin Bieber ever gets raped in the ass hell I'll just say in his own words "It happened for a reason".

Why the hell would any woman want to carry a child she didn't want? She was raped so she has to feel like shit for wanting to abort a child she doesn't want? For something that was out of her control?

Yes he is entitled to his opinion. I don't care about his views on abortion or the way America runs it's government, but to say "Rape happens for a reason?" What the hell is wrong with this kid? More importantly what the hell is wrong with his fan base who are DEFENDING him?! If you don't know anything on the issue you need to know your damn role and shut your damn mouth. Because saying something like this makes you look ignorant.

And don't you tell me "he's just a kid" or "it's the interviewer's fault" if he didn't know anything about it he should of said that!

Anyone getting their panties knotted up over the worldly statements of a 16 year old kid really needs to reassess their grip on reality. Bieber has opinions, sure. And they show that he actually is thinking about stuff other than his hair, his talent, and his fame. But his maturity process is very much a work in progress, and if you think that he's had anything of a normal development curve just because of his rapid rise to stardom, again, start rethinking. Justin Bieber is going to say a lot more stupid things over the coming years. He can't be perfect for everyone all the time. He's a good looking little Canuck and his music is just starting to get interesting, but he's got a lot of learning to do that only years will provide, no matter how well he's handled by his backers.
