Cyrus Hobbi, the No. 1 offensive guard in the nation, according to ESPN , officially signed with USC Wednesday morning, the school confirmed.

A four-star offensive lineman, ranked as the No. 4 and No. 6 guard by Scout and Rivals, respectively, Hobbi was not very high on USC until the Trojans made a late surge. Hobbi announced his decision late last week after visiting USC on January 14.

The 6-foot-4, 285 pound lineman attended Saguaro High in Scottsdale, Ariz. He is expected to possibly compete for playing time immediately.

He chose the Trojans over crosstown rival UCLA and the in-state Arizona State Sun Devils. Hobbi is ranked No. 34 on ESPNU's top 150.
