UPDATED: 9:10 a.m. PST:  An airport spokesperson updated the death toll to 35, a number which may continue to rise.  The airport has remained open in the wake of Moscow's worst attack in nearly a year.

An explosion ripped through the arrivals area at Moscow's Domodedovo International Airport Monday evening, according to the Associated Press, leaving at least 2 dead and 20 more injured. Conflicting reports of deaths and injuries show at least 31 may be dead and 100 injured.

According to Russian news agencies, the explosion happened at 4:40 p.m. inside Domodedovo's international arrivals hall near the baggage claim area.

Though other details are sparse about the blast, early reports have indicated a suicide bomber may be responsible for the attack.

Domodedovo International Airport is located 26 miles southeast of Moscow and is the city's busiest airport in the area.
