Arizona mourners gathered Friday to pay tribute to U.S. District Judge John Roll, the federal judge who was killed in the shooting in Tucson nearly one week ago on Saturday. Security was tight at the funeral because many of the mourners were high-profile friends of the Roll's. Roll served the legal system for nearly 40 years.

The funeral took place in the same church in which nine-year-old Christina Green, who also died in the shooting, was mourned on Thursday. Roll and Green were among the six victims who lost their lives in the attack in which Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was shot through the head. Doctors say she will survive.

Thirteen others were also injured in the attack. The Washington Post has updates on their conditions.
