Arianna Huffington, journalism professor Jay Rosen and other new media digerati backed WikiLeaks and debated its wider significance at a forum in New York on Saturday. You can watch the entire event below.

New York University journalism professor Jay Rosen offered on his Twitter the five key points he made, including that government "has a monopoly on the legal use of force" but "it can have no monopoly on the legitimate use of digital 'force."

City University of New York journalism professor Jeff Jarvis used the forum to hash out the latest version of his cyberspace bill of rights.

Huffpost founder Huffington got some laughs for quipping, "A broken condom is a criminal act...which gives a whole new concept to the idea of WikiLeaks." She also said she agreed with a column from The Guardian that said the media had no obligation to protect powerful people from embarassment. Huffington said as interesting as it is, it doesn't matter whether WikiLeaks' founder Julian Assange is a saint or a jerk.
