A Guide To New Year's Eve On TV
“Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” is back bigger than ever with coverage from both New York and Los Angeles. Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas will host the Los Angeles-based party featuring performances by Willow Smith, Train, Far East Movement, Drake, Ne-Yo, Avril Lavigne, and countless more. Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest will continue to host from Times Square in New York with special correspondent Jenny McCarthy.
“NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly” focuses mainly in Times Square with a smaller list of performers. Lil Wayne, My Chemical Romance, and Nicki Minaj are set to perform while U2’s Bono and The Edge will make a special appearance to discuss their work on the highly anticipated Broadway musical “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.” “Today” correspondents Natalie Morales and Amy Robach will report live from the crowd expected to include nearly one million spectators.
FOX is stepping up their party with their edition of “New Years Eve Live” with host Nancy O’Dell. In addition to the usual coverage from Times Square, FOX will focus a majority of the party from Las Vegas where Travie McCoy, David Archuleta, and Plain White T’s will perform from the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino.
After the huge success of Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens: Live,” Cohen will hold Bravo’s first New Year’s Eve celebration. Sandra Bernhard, Meghan McCain and Bravo celebrities such as Tamra Barney, Kim Zolciak, Jeff Lewis, and Lisa Vanderpump will all celebrate in the Bravo Clubhouse. For any Bravo or “Real Housewives” fan, this show is a must that will be crazy and unpredictable.
