What Sports To Watch This Weekend (Nov. 27-29)

Hey everyone, hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

There’s nothing better than food, family, and football, and this weekend there is a whole lot of football!

So get ready for some good college games, and even a rivalry game with our beloved Trojans as the host.

In the NFL, a game with playoff implications between the Chargers and Colts will keep you watching. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!

It’s always a great game for the USC fans when Notre Dame comes to the Coliseum. Although it won’t be another “Bush Push," this Saturday the Trojans take on the Fighting Irish at 8:00 p.m. ET, and will try to uphold their dominance, having beat Notre Dame in every meeting since 2001.

Notre Dame is without its starting quarterback this weekend while USC’s Matt Barkley is still questionable after spraining his ankle against Oregon State.

The Irish's season looked like it was about to crumble after back-to-back losses to Navy and Tulsa, but now they are getting it together and will prove to be less of a pushover than Trojans fans think. Although Notre Dame has been known for their offensive innovation, it has been their defense leading the rebound. They have held their last two opponents to six points combined and haven’t allowed an offensive touchdown since Tulsa’s first drive.

The Trojans are trying to recover from last week’s loss, and will have to step up if Barkley is on the bench. So will the Fighting Irish make it three wins in a row and finally defeat the Trojans? Or are the Trojans bound to bounce back?

I'm hoping the Trojans can get it together.

On Sunday, an NFL game to look out for is the San Diego Chargers at the Indianapolis Colts at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.

The Chargers look to continue their latest second-half surge and win for the fifth time in sixth meetings. Vincent Jackson is back in the mix for the Chargers as well and could be in for a huge performance against the Colts.

It is always a good matchup when the NFL’s top 2 passers meet, so it will be interesting to see whether Rivers will be able to match Manning -- who is coming off a disappointing loss at New England -- in driving an offense through the air.

The Colts are tied with Jacksonville atop the AFC South, so another win at home could propel them back into sole possession of first place.

The Chargers are just a game behind Kansas City in the AFC West, so this game means a lot to both teams. San Diego will look to rattle Manning with its blitzes and force him into interceptions, while the Colts will be looking to generate a heavy pass rush with defensive ends Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis.

With so much on the line for both teams, this game is bound to be a wild ride.
