It's not often you see highlights from a middle school football game get national attention. Then again, few middle school football teams have the testicular fortitude to pull off a QB sneak like the one Driscoll Middle School did this weekend.

This could definitely be the trick play of the year.

Down 6-0 with the clock winding down, Driscoll's quarterback hiked the ball, then paused momentarily, pretending the play was dead. He continued the ruse by walking through the defensive line toward the ref as if the play was over. As the defense relaxed, the quarterback broke into a full sprint and raced through the secondary. He was stopped briefly by a would-be tackler but was able to shake free and get into the end zone for the game-tying touchdown.

The Corpus Christi, TX, crowd went nuts. Someone with a video camera posted the play on YouTube, and now it's an Internet sensation. Even the Daily Mail is talking about it -- and they don't even play our kind of football over there.

Unfortunately, Driscoll missed the extra point and the game ended in a tie. That's cool. Ten years from now nobody is going to remember the final score anyway. Just the audacious teenager who pulled off arguably the greatest QB sneak in football history.
