Mike Thomas had just two career touchdown catches coming into Sunday's game against the Houston Texans, but that didn't stop him from making the play of the season for the Jaguars.

With nothing but zeroes on the clock, the diminuitive wide receiver caught a 50-yard Hail Mary pass from David Garrard to give Jacksonville a 31-24 win, their fifth of the season. The pass was actually intended for Thomas' teammate Mike Sims-Walker but it was batted into Thomas' hands by Texans DB Glover Quin (see video below). I wouldn't want to be Quin on the flight back to Texas. He's going to get an earful considering he gift-wrapped the win for the Jags.

The last-second catch capped a career day for Thomas. He caught eight passes for 149 yards, which is 60 yards more than his previous best, a break out predicted here at Neon Tommy Sports by our own Mike Green.

With the win, the Jaguars improve to 5-4 and stay in playoff contention in arguably the toughest division in the league, the AFC South. They play the suddenly dangerous Cleveland Browns next week at home.
