L.A. Times: U.S. Marines Sold Assault Weapons to L.A. Gangs

United States Marines were arrested on Monday and now face charges of selling assault weapons to Los Angeles gang members, according to a story published today by the Los Angeles Times.

Four Marines were involved with the sales and are now facing state weapons charges, according to the Times' unidentified source.

The San Clemente Times ran photographs of the weapons, which were confiscated by authorities on Nov. 2.

The details were leaked to the Times by federal and state authorities who are involved in the case.  More details are expected to be provided soon.
