Seth MacFarlane Crafts Demented LeBron Commercial For Nike

We are not the same. I am a martian.

The line belongs to Weezy, but it may as well have been written for Seth MacFarlane (the uber-cartoonist responsible for Family Guy, The Cleveland Show and American Dad) judging by this commercial he drew up for LeBron James' new shoe.

Tasked with creating a unique campaign for the titans of the high top, MacFarlane put together a short cartoon featuring a shoe -- the Nike LeBron 8 -- as the protagonist.

The shoe unboxes a pair of miniature LeBron figures, straps them to its feet and bounces around in them. The "shoes" emit a squeaky sound as the camera quickly cuts to LeBron bolting upright in his bed. A bad dream. Nothing to worry about. Just buy the kicks.

See video below.

Weird, right?

I'm not sure where Nike plans to air this context-less bit of nightmarism, but it's a doozy.

Hopefully Nike goes in a less space cadet direction with their next venture.
