It’s the season Oprah promises her viewers will never forget, and so far she’s delivering.

In only the first week, audience members were awarded free trips to Australia on John Travolta’s private plane and later, women planning their wedding were given free Vera Wang dresses before the line hit national stores.

It’s moments like these that make the “Oprah Winfrey Show” stand out from any other talk show in television.

In her 25th and final season, Oprah Winfrey continues to prove why she is the queen of daytime television.

Since its season premiere in the middle of September, the “Oprah Winfrey Show” continues to do what it does best- make every episode different and unique.

Such topics already discussed include anything from a woman who sued her cheating husband for $20 million dollars and won, the situation of America’s public school system which Oprah considers “the civil rights issue of our time,” and the controversy surrounding TLC’s reality show “Sister Wives.”

Not impressed? Oprah has also been able to gain the first interviews with Tyler Perry admitting he was molested as a child, Lisa Marie Presley on Michael Jackson’s death, and Ricky Martin on his life as a gay man.

This month, Oprah plans to air her world exclusive at-home interview with Michael Jackson’s family.

Former President George W. Bush will sit down to discuss his terms as president.

Marie Osmond will open up for the first time about her family tragedy involving her son’s suicide.

Finally, this month marks the return of Oprah’s ultimate favorite things, which has been advertised to include “a humongous twist.”

When the announcement was made Oprah would be leaving her talk show next year, many viewers didn’t realize that she isn’t going away completely.

OWN, or the Oprah Winfrey Network is expected to launch January 1st, 2011. Personalities already signed up with shows in development include Rosie O’Donnell, Shania Twain, Dr. Laura Berman, Peter Walsh, Carson Kressley, Lisa Ling, and Nancy O’Dell.

An interesting fact many don’t realize is “Judge Judy” has been overtaking Oprah in the ratings. According to the “New York Post,” Judge Judy has beaten Oprah in the all important sweeps period. An estimated 6.4 million people watch “Judge Judy,” putting Oprah in a close second with 6.2 million viewers.

A lot of speculation has been made about who can replace Oprah. Many thought it would be Tyra Banks, but she said goodbye to daytime this year to purse other projects. Many see Ellen DeGeneres as a plausible choice, but she makes people laugh, not cry.

The fact is, nobody is going to immediately be the next Oprah. Besides, let’s remember, she isn’t going away. She’s getting her own channel for goodness sake.

For now, let’s sit back and enjoy the season- expected to bring unforgettable guests, A-HA moments, and with Oprah, lots of surprises.
