Democratic Senator Patty Murray rallies vote's in the very influential Washington state.
The most populous county in Washington State is gearing up for an intense Election Day backlash, as it is predicted to be the deciding factor of the Senate race.

In a race between Democratic incumbent Senator Patty Murray and Republican challenger Dino Rossi, King County is said to be not only the deciding factor in the state Senate race, but perhaps in the national Senate race as well.

1.1 million people are registered to vote in King County, counting for nearly 30% of the state’s vote. However, due to Washington State’s mail-in ballot guidelines, only 40% of those votes will be counted by tonight.

In 2008, King County cast 70% of their ballot for Obama. But, this year far fewer people are expected to vote, and many voters have discussed dissatisfaction with the current state of the government.

Only time will tell if King County becomes the next Miami-Dade.
