Both the L.A. Weekly and Orange County Register say the math doesn't favor Steve Cooley as the final 200,000 or so ballots are counted in California's attorney general's race.

Harris, a Democrat, is expected to pull in about 50 percent of the vote with the Republican, Cooley, earning closer to 40 percent of the vote. The count of the remaining provisional and mail-in ballots should wrap up next week.
