Harry Reid Hoping Organized Labor Can Save His Senate Seat

Incumbent Senator Harry Reid, whose seat in Congress is being seriously challenged by Tea Party rival Sharron Angle, is hoping that organized labor will pull through and help save his position.

AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka has called Reid organized labor's "champion."  Labor unions have a huge presence in Nevada, and Reid's threatened position could be saved by a last-minute effort to get voters to show up at the polls on Tuesday.  Whether he'll remain in elected office, or ousted by the wave of popular Tea Party supporters, depends on it.
