At least a dozen countries and over a hundred reporters have come to Florida to cover Marco Rubio's headquarters as the GOP senate race winds down.

In an interview with Fox News' Neil Cavuto, Rubio said the international coverage was flattering, but his main focus is on Florida.

"The only thing I win is the privilege to serve the state of Florida in the Senate," Rubio said.

Should Rubio win as expected, there are already murmurs that he could potentially be a running mate or even a presidential candidate in 2012. However, Rubio was quick to dismiss these in his interview, calling it "part of the game of politics."

"Politics is full of one-hit wonders," he said. "[Being vice president] is not in our future."

As a Latino in a party desperate for Latino voters, Rubio said the important issues for Latinos are also universal issues.

"The most important Latino issue is economic empowerment," he said, adding that the free enterprise system is the only one in the world capable of doing this. :Big government hurts the people trying to make it."

I am a latina who does not believe in govt handouts, welfare and illegal immigration. Shame on the hispanics and live for the govt hand to feed them, refuse to learn english and want to cross the border illegally. Thank goodness for hispanics like Rubio!!

to the idiot above me republicans are not against jobs, we are against ILLEGAL ALIENS, and there is no such thing as FREE health care to the people who are here legally and pay taxes from either the jobs they have or own. if you want these things, get legal get a job or start a business and pay for it

It's a federal term to describe people here who are not in this country legally... Pretty simple. The "States" view on this matter is inconsequential.

" we are against illegal aliens, " such statement is inaccurate at best, and racist at worse. There is no such thing as illegal alien, in some states it is not event a misdemeanor.Look at the law as there is no such a term that exists. Not even arizona has this term in their laws. So, if you are "againts illegal aliens,"then ur issues may just be that you are against a certain group and not saying so. As such, stop using the term if that's not what you mean to say.

That is the beauty of America, you ignorant f*ck. Rubio's family came to the USA from Cuba and did not rely on the government to help them "move up."

YOU are a disgrace to Latinos and ignorant, uninformed individuals like you are the reason why Democrats win elections nowadays.
