Dwyane Wade Rocks Kyrylo Fesenko With Overtime Dunk
Dwyane Wade went off in overtime Tuesday, dropping 10 of his 39 points in the final five minutes, including a nightmare-inducing dunk on Jazz center Kyrylo Fesenko (see video below). But even that wasn't enough to give Miami its sixth win.
The Heat lost 116-114 to the Jazz, thanks in large part to the heroic exploits of Paul Millsap.
"Milli" was too hot for the Heat to handle Tuesday, scoring a career-best 46 points in the game, including three uncharacteristic 3-pointers in the fourth quarter. Before that, Millsap had been just 2-20 from beyond the arc in his career.
Adding to the drama, LeBron James recorded his first triple-double in a Heat uniform (20 pts, 11 reb, 14 ast), Deron Williams fouled out in regulation (leaving the Jazz without their starting point guard in overtime) and the Jazz erased a 22-point first half deficit to get the win.
To say this was an exciting game would be like saying adolescent girls are into Justin Bieber. There was so much action, Arnold Schwarzenegger wanted to un-retire just so he could narrate the highlights.
Other than Millsap's threes, the highlight of the night was definitely Wade's dunk, though. It rivaled his face-shattering slam on Anderson Varejao last season.
Check it out below. It's a beauty.
