Deficit Reduction Plan Tees Up Liberals
The landmark plan released earlier this week to cut down America's fiscal deficit has frustrated liberals, who view it as a hint that President Barack Obama may move to the center during the second half of his first term.
Not only are some economists saying the plan, if adopted, would cripple the new health care law, but also several liberal groups are having to seek reassurance that Obama remains committed the policies they elected him to fight for.
Obama, for his part, says there's still a lot of dialogue that needs to occur before any of the proposals in the plan are shot down.
