Nick Lachey proposed to long-time girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo on Thursday.

Lachey, 36, popped the question to Minnillo, 29, on a California beach, with an Asscher-cut diamond and baguettes from Bader & Garrin.

After Minnillo said yes, Nick went public with the news, posting it on Twitter: “Hey all. If anyone’s heard the rumors of my engagement, they are absolutely true! Vanessa and I couldn’t be happier. Thanks for all the love.”

The couple had been dating for almost four years, though briefly split in 2009. It wasn’t long before they got back together.

This is Lachey’s second marriage. He was previously married to Jessica Simpson.

Lachey is the host of NBC’s "The Sing-Off," and Minnillo is the host of ABC’s "True Beauty."

The engagement was first reported by Us magazine.

Another celebrity couple is set to hit the altar – Eddie Cibrian proposed to LeAnn Rimes, this time for real.

Cibrian, 37, had tweeted a photo of himself kneeling in front of a shocked Rimes, 28, on Halloween.

However, the following morning, Rimes told fans it was a joke. “They are not engaged,” said a source close to Rimes, “it was just part of the Halloween fun.”

Rimes and Cibrian met while filming the Lifetime television movie "Northern Lights" in 2008.

Rimes was still married to Dean Sheremet when she began dating Cibrian in 2009, who was also married at the time.

Both divorced their spouses to be together.

In an interview on "In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: All Access Nashville" on Wednesday, Rimes came forward about her affair.

“What happened is not who I am, period,” she said, “but I do know how much I love [Cibrian].”

Rimes explained, “I’ve always said I don’t live my life with regret. I can’t."

On her relationship with Cibrian: “We’re talking about something that’s over a year, year-and-a-half old, really, and we’re still together, and we’re madly in love.”

Foul play is not suspected in the death of Julien Hug, a contestant on season 5 of "The Bachelorette," who was found in a remote area off State Route 74 in Southern California.

A missing person’s report was filed for Hug, 35, on Monday who was last seen leaving San Diego to help his family manage their restaurant in Palm Desert, Calif.

His body was found Wednesday in a remote area of Pinyon Pines.

Because of rugged terrain, Hug’s body was inaccessible to ground personnel.

Police had to use a helicopter the following morning, Thursday, to recover it.

Hug’s car was found on a forest service access road.

The official cause of death is pending a coroner’s investigation.

In the opening episode of season 5 of "The Bachelorette," Hug described himself as an adventurer. “The sense of freedom that comes from skydiving is a big thrill,” he said.

Those who knew him described him as a “thrill seeker.” Kiptyn Locke told RadarOnline, “Everyone who knew him loved him. He is a guy who really enjoyed life.”
