Thousands of fans nationwide lined up for hours, dressed in costume to attend the midnight premiere of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1."

The latest installment and second to last film in the series features Harry and the gang’s dangerous quest to find and destroy the Horcruxes, the key to Voldemort’s immortality and power, and the psychological struggles they endure.

Critics say "Deathly Hollows, Part 1" feels more realistic than the previous films in the series; it is arguably the best installment of the series thus far.

The latest Potter film also gives off a different vibe than the previous.

“This one’s edgy and dark,” said director David Yates, “We’re kind of pulling away from the magic a bit more and bringing more reality to it. It’s also the most intimate of Potter films.”

Part 2 of the movie is still in production, and will hit theaters in July.

"Deathly Hollows, Part 1" is expected to top box offices this weekend.

After news of his divorce took over headlines earlier this week, NBA star Tony Parker has finally spoken out with his defense.

Parker, 28, says he was not hit unexpected when Eva Longoria, 35, filed for divorce Wednesday morning in Los Angeles Superior Court.

The actress cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce and requested spousal support.

“Eva and I have been discussing our situation privately,” he said in a statement issued by his rep. “I was aware that she would be filing for divorce in Los Angeles.”

He has denied a report (which has since been retracted) that he initiated the divorce.

“I did not file for divorce in Texas and did not hire divorce attorneys in Texas or California,” he said, “We plan to continue to keep our discussions of this matter private.”

The issue of Us Weekly on newsstands now broke the news that Longoria had split from her husband after finding hundreds of text message he had sent to another woman.

According to reports, Parker cheated with Erin Barry, the estranged wife of his former San Antonio Spurs teammate Brent Barry.

The two reportedly exchanged text messages for about a year.

Indiana police have charged MTV reality star Amber Portwood with a misdemeanor and two felony charges for attacking her boyfriend, Gary Shirley, in an episode of "Teen Mom" in September.

In the episode, Portwood, 20, is seen punching, slapping, and choking her boyfriend, in front of their daughter Leah, 2.

Authorities launched a criminal investigation seven weeks ago, after MTV aired the episode, showing incidents captured over the summer.

Using that footage and unaired tapes, police charged that Portwood attacked Shirley on three separate occasions.

Shirley and Portwood gave statements to police last month admitting to the incidents.

If convicted of the charges, Portwood could face up to three years in jail and fines of up to $10,000.

Portwood currently takes medication to cope with anxiety and depression.

She has full custody of her daughter, but she and Shirley have agreed Leah is better off living with her father for the time being.
