After Lil Wayne’s release from Rikers Island prison and a huge “welcome-home” bash in Miami, the rapper is already back to work in the studio. Fans are anxiously waiting for Wayne’s newest material, including mixtapes and collaborative albums, and expectations are high.

“I think the one thing we could do is stand out the way,” rapper Dr. Dre said. “Get out the way. I’m sure he has so much inspiration built up right now.”

Lil Wayne began recording in the studio Monday night and had a 15-hour recording session. Interestingly, the rapper has started writing his music since his release from jail, which is contrary to his reputation of memorizing his verses.

“He’s in beast mode,” explained Bryan “Baby” Williams, Wayne’s label head and father figure. “When you put a shining star in a cage, what else can you make out of it? You just put him in beast mode.”

Chris Pine graced the cover of the Hollywood Reporter’s second weekly edition, which will hit stands today. The main article focuses on “the hot new a-list” of young actors that will be the future of the industry.

“We need these kids desperately,” a studio producer explains to the Hollywood Reporter. “And there happens to be a crop of five or six of them that are actually filling the role.”

Pine along with a handful of other actors will be entering into “blockbuster star-making terrain” between now and summer 2012. Pine explains, “To have a bit more power to say yes and no is very appealing and intoxicating.”

Despite the failure of California’s proposition 19, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger seems to be okay with the issue of marijuana. The governor was a guest on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno where he casually discussed marijuana. 

He called the change of pot possession from a misdemeanor to an infraction, “like a speeding ticket.” The governor also claimed that “no one cares if you smoke a joint or not.”

The governor also believed that Proposition 19 failed because “it went a little bit too far and it was written badly.” (Source: TMZ.com)
