Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Sunday in an interview airing on "Meet the Press" that the civilian court system is better than military commissions when trying suspected terrorists.

“If you look at the comparison between terrorists who are now serving time in our maximum security prisons compared to what military commissions have been able to do, there's no comparison,” she said.

In the interview, she also talked about the recent criticism of the Transportation Security Administration's heightened screening procedures, which include full body scans or a pat-down. Many passengers feel that the scans and pat-downs are too intrusive.

Clinton said the procedures will improve.

“And I am absolutely confident that our security experts are gonna keep tryin' to get it better and less intrusive and more precise,” she said.

Though in the meantime, she indicated that she would avoid a pat down at the airport. On CBS's "Face the Nation" Sunday, she said, "I understand how difficult it is and how offensive it must be for the people who are going through it."

Clinton also appeared on "Fox News Sunday" where she talked about 2012 and the possible ratification of a nuclear arms treaty with Russia.

She told host Chris Wallace that she is done pursuing public office, telling him "I love what I'm doing."
