The first ever Beverly Hills Fashion Festival was a day-long tribute to fashion and philanthropy, complete with runway shows, red carpets, retail exhibitions and gourmet food.

Taking place across the street from the iconic Beverly Hilton Hotel, the event lived up to the elegance and glamour associated with the world-famous zip code, and even attracted some big-name celebrities, including Mischa Barton, in addition to showcasing some big-name designers.

First up on the runway was a show by world-renowned designer Elie Tahari, who exhibited pieces from his Spring 2011 and Holiday collections. Sticking to a palette of whites, gold and black, Tahari showcased pieces that were glitzy and glamorous but still extremely classy and feminine.

The Spring 2011 collection was inspired by classic 70s American sportswear, and comprised lots of extremely wearable separates, including an adorable gold pleated skirt, high-waisted shorts in a variety of hues, black crocheted sweaters that could easily transition between seasons, and a rocker-chic gold pant suit.

Tahari's Holiday collection was definitely inspired by old Hollywood glamour, and included lots of beaded and sequined show-stopping dresses that would look stunning on any red carpet. Proceeds from the show’s ticket sales will benefit the Shenkar Fashion College Scholarship Fund.

Next up was Polish designer Teresa Rosati, who made her American debut at the event. Rosati’s collection of eveningwear showcased everything from red-carpet looks to youthful party dresses with a bit of bridal mixed in.

Her collection included full-length gowns with Marchesa-esque ruffles, 80s-inspired dresses, and a stunning wedding dress that mixed delicate lace with an embellished skirt and surprising touches of peach. The collection also included a lot of prints, most notably a gorgeous silk printed with black-and-white photos of Marilyn Monroe, which she used to make two truly spectacular evening looks. Proceeds from the Teresa Rosati show will benefit St. Vincent Meals on Wheels.
