Throughout Arkansas, there are light rain showers but no voting problems have been reported.

Secretary of State Charlie Daniels' spokeswoman Sandra McGrew isn't sure what effect the rain will have on voter turn out but hopes the public will "grab their rain boots and umbrella" and vote.

Arkansas is a hot state to watch, as Senator Blanche Lincoln (D) is likely to lose her senate seat to Republican Congressman John Boozman. Polls as of Sunday revealed that Boozman held 55% of the votes with Lincoln lagging behind with 36%. Boozman's campaign has focused on linking Lincoln to President Obama and other Democrats who are unpopular in the state of Arkansas.

As of Tuesday, Boozman and his staff are reported to be confident and optimistic about their win for Arkansas' Senate seat.

Election officials are expecting a high voter turnout today, especially for a non-presidential election.
