1. Avant-Garde Film Festival
For less than a ticket to see a movie at L.A. Live, check out a film at this weekend's MOCA-sponsored event: Counter Culture, Counter Cinema: An Avant-Garde Film Festival. This event is at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, and showcases the historic alliance between experimental film and counter-culture movements.

$10 movie pass, $45 festival pass

2. "Shaun of the Dead" at Pershing Square
This weekend's installment of Friday Night Fright Flicks tells the story of a man trying to turn his life around while dealing with a zombie uprising in a British romantic comedy horror film. Bring a blanket and a picnic and watch this with friends before starting your Friday night downtown. Free popcorn included.

3. Santa Monica Vintage Fashion Expo
Scouring the 75-100 booths that make up this weekend-long fashion extravaganza, you'll find vintage clothing from the Victorian era to the retro styles of the 70s and 80s. The treasure trove is located at the Civic Auditorium in Santa Monica. Get $2 off your admission, here.

4. Diana Tours L.A.
