President Obama, Bill Clinton Campaign For Pennsylvania Democrats
Clinton encourgaed voters to turn out for Democratic Rep. Joe Sestak's bid for the U.S. Senate, and padded his itinerary with other appearances in the state as well.
The duo attended rallies at Bryn Mawr College, Cheyney University and Temple University to get young voters on college campuses to vote. Clinton was also in southeastern Pennsylvania at Northhampton Community College to campaign for Democrat congressional candidate John Callahan and gubenatorial candidate Dan Ontorato. At that rally, the president had to call out for a doctor when he saw an audience member faint during Callahan's speech.
After appearing several times already, President Barack Obama will also again visit Temple University this weekend.
The Democratic National Committee stated, "The canvass kickoff...will be the first event of the GOTV weekend the president will hold before Election Day on Nov. 2nd."
Clinton joined Sestak on Thursday at several retail events in Philadelphia too.
Sestak is also setting his sights on small businesses as well, stopping today in Reading, Allentown and Doulestown Wednesday for visits. In addition, the candidate met with workers from the recently closed Visteon auto parts plant. Thursday night, Sestak is hosting two rallies in Philadelphia.
