TOP FIVE HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE 12TH EAGLE ROCK MUSIC FESTIVAL:

1) Well-organized event
No lines or traffic or congestion.
Easy to get to and out of.
Free parking and shuttle service.
And because it was so well-organized, it was the reason thousands of people could attend with ease.

2) Over forty artists played live for free (or an optional $5 donation).
We need more festivals like this.
Every man and his dog (literally) attended.
It added to a very easy-going and welcoming atmosphere.

3) Shaved Ice Van that saw the largest line for people of all ages wanting some relief from the heat.
The rest of the food was made up of street restaurants and taco-vans that handled crowds equally.

4) Stumbling upon a Mexican-Irish folk punk band in the backlot to an auto-repair dealer.
These oddballs were called Ollin, and they had a moshpit going for the entire set consisting of teenagers and grannies.

5) Meeting the Low End Theory family with a stage which dominated the festival with some of the best electronic music to be produced from L.A.
The line-up included Free the Robots, Ras G, Nosaj Thing, Gaslamp Killer and Special Guest: Flying Lotus.
