The Script Climbs The American Top 40
Irish alternative rock band, The Script, has achieved a rare feat for any music band, breaking the almost impenetrable U.S. billboard chart.
Their single "Breakeven" was one of only a handful of non-American songs in the Top 40 singles chart this September, after reaching a chart high of 12, upon release in November 2009. Currently, Enrique Iglesias' song, "I Like It," is the only non-American single in the Top 10.

The Script's new album, "Science and Faith," released this September, debuted at number one in the UK and across Europe. The album features the hit single "For The First Time."
Critics are hailing the Irish band as the new U2, and Bono is said to be a massive fan.
The UK Daily Telegraph critic, Neil McCormick, summed up the band and album: "The Script is shaping up to be an all-time great pop group. U2-meet-the Police guitar hooks ring out over melodic anthems of real passion and surprisingly poetic lyrical substance."
Eva Hewson, Bono's daughter, will be starring in a new Script video. She is also set to star opposite Sean Penn in the upcoming film, "This Must Be The Place."
The Script will be heading for the US next, touring cities across the country, starting on October 11th in San Diego. A successful tour could lift the band to world superstar status, similar to the highest earning touring band of 2009, U2.
