On Friday, a few enterprising reporters tried to ask Sharron Angle, the Republican candidate for Senate in Nevada, a few questions about her stance on policy issues. In response, Angle has banned those reporters from attending her election night events.

Reporters from the local NBC and CBS stations will not be allowed to cover Angle on election night.

The deputy communications director for Angle’s campaign said the reporters did not meet the standards of “journalistic integrity” and implied that they were working for Angle’s opponent, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

“There is not room at the victory party for Harry Reid’s lapdogs,” said the deputy communications director.

Video from the reporters’ encounter with Angle shows the two journalists pushing for answers and Angle replying simply, “I’ll answer those questions when I’m the Senator.”

The news director for KLAS, the Las Vegas CBS affiliate, said the station and its reporters were just trying to do their job.

Sen. John McCain stopped by Las Vegas on Friday night to stump for Angle and to help her breakthrough in the polls - Angle and Reid are currently locked in a dead-heat.

McCain told the crowd that the election could change the direction of the country, and said, "Sharron brings hope and Sharron brings action."
