Hey guys, it’s me again, here to give you an inside look at what is going on in the sports world this weekend.

There are some great baseball matchups that will determine who we see in the World Series, and also some great football battles. So sit back and relax because you will soon know what to watch and who to cheer your loudest for!

Friday's Game 6 is a big game for the Texas Rangers, who are only one win away from a trip to the World Series. The Rangers had outplayed the New York Yankees the entire series -- except for a one-inning meltdown in Game 1 -- until Game 5 when the Yankee offense came alive. With their swing back, the Yankees are more determined than ever.

Phil Hughes will take the mound Friday night at 8:07 p.m. ET in Texas, where he got crushed in Game 2. Teammates and manager Joe Girardi hope Hughes will take this second chance to pitch like the guy who won 18 games this season and get a win to force a decisive and thrilling Game 7.

Saturday at 7 p.m. ET, the No. 1 Oklahoma Sooners will be at Memorial Stadium in Columbia to play the No. 11 Missouri Tigers in a game that could prove a trend this season. For the past two weeks, the No. 1 BCS team has lost on the road.

Hopefully, Oklahoma will not succumb to the pressure. Even if Missouri can stop Landry Jones, they will still have to hold off DeMarco Murray, who is getting the ball an average of 28 times per game as the main running back. Murray has become an offensive weapon, capable of scoring with a run or a catch. The Sooners will need to step up their pass defense. They're playing against a team that loves to throw the ball. If Oklahoma can get Missouri quarterback Blaine Gabbert out of the pocket, success will follow.

Whatever happens, this matchup will be a game of firsts. We will see if Oklahoma can hold onto the No. 1 spot. If not, we'll see the Tigers beat the Sooners for the first time since 1998.

The San Francisco Giants and Philadelphia Phillies will return to Philly on Saturday to play Game 6 at 3:57 p.m. ET. The Phillies were able to stay alive in Game 5 after a crucial error by the Giants first baseman Aubrey Huff in the third inning. Huff's booted ball opened the door for the Phillies, giving them a 3-1 lead. They eventually went on to win 4-2.

Jonathan Sanchez will be starting for the Giants and Roy Oswalt for the Phillies. Oswalt is 10-0 in 12 starts in Philly this year, so we will see if he can shake of the loss from Game 4. In this series, pitching has dominated with the teams hitting about even, so both teams better bring the heat.

Sunday night, Brett Favre returns to Green Bay to take on the Green Bay Packers at 8:20 p.m. ET. Although Favre’s return is always a headliner, the significance of this games goes far beyond just Favre. It's an important matchup in the NFC North because the Vikings (2-3) and the Packers (3-3) could both use the win to help them catch the first place Chicago Bears.

Adrian Peterson will be the key player to watch for the Vikings. He could have a huge game against the Packers’ sporadic defense. While the Vikings are gaining momentum after a win last week, the Packers are continually being brought down by injuries. However, if Aaron Rodgers can connect on some deep balls to receivers Greg Jennings and Donald Driver, it could make all the difference.

The New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys play Monday night in Dallas at 8:30 p.m. ET in what seems to be a mismatch for the struggling Cowboys. There is a lot of history between the two teams and -- with the Giants tied with Philadelphia for first place in the NFC East -- New York has the opportunity to bury the 1-4 Cowboys.

The Giants once again have a dominant defensive line because of the resurgence of Osi Umenyiora and Chris Canty. The Giants also lead the NFL, having forced 45 negative plays. The Cowboys’ weakness comes with their offensive line and its inability to protect their quarterback.

The Cowboys have been ruining themselves all year with mental errors and penalties. It will be interesting to see if they can finally turn things around.
