An investigation by The Nation revealed that Lou Dobbs, a former CNN commentator who frequently used airtime to rail against undocumented workers and their employers, in fact had many illegal immigrants working at his estates.

The workers helped run his two multi-million dollar estates - one in Sussex, New Jersey and the other in West Palm Beach, Florida. Five illegal immigrants were interviewed during the yearlong investigation.

Multiple undocumented workers took care of Dobbs's horses. Some workers were on call 24 hours a day in the event a horse got sick. (Dobbs' owns many horses for his daughter Hillary, a champion show jumper.)

While it's unclear if Dobbs knew some of his employees were undocumented, his daughter and stable manager likely knew.

Pedro Gomez, an undocumented worker who looked after Dobbs's horses, said as many as nine workers lived in a small, two bedroom apartment above one of the stables.

Illiegal immigrants also tended to the gardens, lawns and trees at Dobbs's house.
