Latinos are concerned about the discriminatory backlash on illegal immigration, and split over what to do about it, according to a new poll released today by the Pew Hispanic Center.

Fifty-three percent of those polled say that illegal immigrants should be fined but not deported, while 28 percent think that there should be no consequences against illegal immigrants.  Thirteen percent say that illegal immigrants should be deported.  Six percent declined to comment.

Six out of every ten Latinos think that discrimination is a "major problem," which is a 6 point increase from a similar poll taken three years ago, according to MSNBC.

Over a third of Latinos cited "immigration status" as the biggest reason for discrimination, potentially in the wake of severe anti-illegal immigrant legislation like Arizona's SB1070.

A few hundred thousand ILLEGAL aliens would be a big problem and cause concern from many citizens of this country. 12 to 30 million ILLEGAL aliens here is an INVASION! There will always be resentment and bad feeling towards all Latinos as long as the majority of us support this criminal behavior. The 1986 amnesty made the problem worse...another amnesty will lead to the destruction of this nation. All countries must have rule of law and control of their borders or they cease to be a nation.
