INTERACTIVE: How California Is Balancing The Budget

The state Legislature plans to vote on a budget for the state fiscal year on Thursday--98 days after it was originally due. The budget relies on loans, assumptions and accounting tricks to close a major deficit. The May revision of the budget cited a $19.1 billion deficit. Based on numbers from the Sacramento Bee and the Associated Press, here's how the proposed budget would fill most of that gap.
