Earlier this week, the Fashion Group International of Los Angeles celebrated its 75th Anniversary with the pre-release of the 100 Faces of Los Angeles Fashion Book at the Cabana Club in Hollywood.

Created in 1945 by a group of powerful female pioneers from the fashion and beauty fields including Edith Head, Helena Rubenstein and Estée Lauder to name a few, The Fashion Group International is a global, non-profit, professional organization. Its 5,000 members are made up of those in the fashion industry including apparel, accessories, beauty and home. Their mission is to be the pre-eminent authority on the business of fashion and design and to help our members become more effective in their careers.

Hosted by Los Angeles stylist Laurie Brucker, the night was filled with amazing hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and fabulous fashion. The evening ended with a performance from award-winning R&B recording artist Faith Evans.

Some notable attendees include Jamie Hilfiger (niece of famous fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger), Sammy Sheik (Transformers 3), Amber Meade and Sarah Michaels (Bad Girls Club Season 3), and Andrew Garcia (American Idol). Filled with class, sophistication, and fashion-forward attendees, the 75th Anniversary of FGILA was a very enjoyable evening celebrating a well established fashion organization.
