James Franco knows what it’s like to be a lady!  The always-sexy star took a try at drag for the pro-transvestite, transsexual and cross-dressing fashion magazine Candy.  Franco donned eye shadow and lipstick for his cover shoot with the legendary photographer Terry Richardson.  Franco recently graced the cover of The Advocate and discussed his reasons for not being opposed to playing homosexual characters.  (Source: Huffington Post)

Actress and rock-chick Juliette Lewis has reportedly been hospitalized after a hit-and-run incident on Wednesday night. Lewis was being driven back from an event for her new movie, "Conviction," when another car struck her vehicle at an intersection. Lewis' rep reported to TMZ.com that the actress "went to the hospital to be checked out and is a bit banged up and sore but otherwise thankfully okay. She is now resting at home." The other driver of the other car, a Honda, fled the scene of the incident and the car was discovered by police a few blocks away, but the suspect is still missing. See Neon Tommy's interview with the actress on the red carpet of "Conviction" from Tuesday night here. (Sources: TMZ.com, People, E! Online)

The Hollywood elite will be joining forces in the upcoming comedy “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.”  John Madden (“Shakespeare in Love”) will be directing the star-studded cast including Judi Dench (“Notes on a Scandal”), Maggie Smith (“Harry Potter”), Tom Wilkinson (“Michael Clayton”), Bill Nighy (“Love Actually”) and Dev Patel (“Slumdog Millionaire”) in the film based off of the novel by Deborah Moggach.  Fox Searchlight has announced that principal photography for the film will begin October 10th in India.  The comedy features a group of British retirees who choose to move to the more inexpensive and exotic India in an attempt to “outsource” their retirement.  After being disappointed by the false advertisements of the seemingly luxurious Marigold Hotel, the group somehow undergoes a transformation when they discover that “life and love can begin again when you let go of the past.” (Source: Fox Searchlight)

Eating is a crime for male models, apparently.  A male model was fired from an Abercrombie & Fitch photo shoot when he was caught eating a croissant.  The models were supposed to be under supervision for any eating, drinking and working out for the duration of the job.  The Belgian model, however, supposedly chose an inopportune moment to take a bite and, as a result, found himself canned!  This brings up yet another debate about whether thin should be in for fashion. (Source: Mail Online)

The Oscars may come early this year!  The Academy is looking to move up the 2012 Oscars to late January or early February.  This change is being explored in hopes of keeping the award show relevant while also boosting ratings.  At this point, the decision is hinging on the NFL who is looking to add two games to its pro football schedule.  This change could force voters and viewers to watch and vote for the nominated films on their computers because it could mean a lack of time to mail out DVDs and ballots. (Source: LA Times)

The new Superman movie has bagged “300” director Zack Snyder!  The film will be produced by Christopher Nolan (known for reviving Batman) who is teaming up with David Goyer to revive the Superman series for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures.  Snyder most recently directed the animated film “Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole” and also has “Watchman” on his resume.  Rumor has it that the newest Superman will feature General Zod to take on Superman. If you want to Keep Up with the Kardashians, look East!  Kim and sister Kourtney are about to take over New York City!  E! will be debuting the newest Kardashian chronicle Kourtney and Kim Take New York in January of 2011.  Unfortunately, Kourtney’s baby daddy Scott Disick will be making the move with them.  The girls are in New York to open up a third location of their Dash boutique and to live it up!  (Source: E!
