A recent Reuters/Ipsos poll shows Barbara Boxer’s lead over Carly Fiorina is down to just one point – the narrowest lead Boxer has held. A Huffington Post story, however, notes that the sample size in the Reuters/Ipsos poll was less than 500, and a Rasmussen survey conducted at the same time gave Boxer a three-point lead.

Boxer appeared at Bob Hope Airport Monday to highlight her record on airline safety and to attack her opponent’s position that those on the no-fly list should be able to purchase guns. At an event in San Bernadino, Fiorina said there is an important difference between the terrorist watch list and the no-fly list.

  • Fiorina also attacked Boxer’s stimulus plan and said government spending is “out of control.”
  • President Obama, who will be in Los Angeles campaigning for Boxer later this week, has produced a new radio ad urging California voters to “get out and vote for Barbara Boxer.”
