Boxer V. Fiorina: Boxer Maintains A Small Lead
Comments (0)
The latest Rasumussen Reports survey is out, and the California race is still a toss-up. According to the poll, 49 percent of likely voters support Boxer, while 46 percent prefer Fiorina. Two percent don’t like either candidate, and three percent are undecided.
Other highlights of the race:
- Boxer has repeatedly attacked Fiorina’s history at HP, where she was forced out of the CEO position, but a new Fortune story looks at what happened before HP. According to the report, Fiorina engaged in unstable deals the story compares to subprime mortgages. A Fiorina spokeswoman has called the story libelous.
- Sarah Palin, who has endorsed Fiorina and who will be in Anaheim on Saturday campaigning for the Republican candidates, said Boxer and gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown are “permanent residents of a unicorn ranch in fantasy land.”
- Some commentary: Kay Plantes asks whether Fiorina’s record at HP is a sign of things to come if she goes to Washington. “Vote for Carly if you agree with her policy positions. But please don’t vote for her because of her strategic leadership skills, which were sorely lacking during her HP reign.”
