The 2010 Eyegore Awards held on Friday night at Universal Studios in Hollywood saw a bunch of B-list horror celebrities take to the red-carpet. The event coincided with the launch of the Halloween Horror Nights which runs for the next two weeks.

Following brief interviews by the press, the awards took place hosted by a very unfunny Corey Feldman. Celebrities included Eli Roth, Christopher Lloyd, Sid Haig, Rob Zombie and more.

Later, guests were allowed to try out the new additions to the theme park as part of the Halloween Horror Night.

These included five mazes : A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses in 3D, Saw and Vampyre. The park also features a fully re-imagined “Terror Tram” back-lot studio experience, offering guests a chance to walk through Universal Studios historic movie sets. The back-lot forms part of the Terror Tram: Chucky's Revenge, which goes through the War of the Worlds set.

Since this year also marks the 50th anniversary of Alfred Hitchcock’s “Psycho” the Bates Motel is also in the lot. Other rides guests can check out as part of the Halloween Horror nights are King Kong 360 3-D, Jurassic Park, Revenge of the Mummy and The Simpsons. Bill & Teds Excellent Halloween Adventure is a new addition to the park.

Weaved into the antics and mayhem of the night, the entire park is filled with familiar faces from horror films: chainsaw men, vampires, zombies and psycho-killers-scaring people in all directions until 1am. Highly recommended for horror-fanatics.

Halloween Horror Nights runs nightly until October 31 from 7pm until late. For more information: www.halloweenhorrornights.com
