Bandmates Marissa Paternoster and King Mike have been performing together since high school. Now they're on the road in their second band called Screaming Females with drummer Jarrett Dougherty. The band works hard not to fit into one musical stereotype. Even though their sound is impossible to describe on a press release, they have done well on the indie circuit over the past few years.

Neon Tommy caught up with the trio after their set at FYF Fest. Watch what they say about touring in Los Angeles and playing other local venues such as the Echo Curio.

Screaming Females are currently on tour and will release their fourth album "Castle Talk" (Don Giovanni) later this month.
