President Obama said in a Rolling Stone interview that he will push energy legislation next year to wean the U.S. from its reliance on fossil fuels.

The President acknowledges that with the economic crisis, the administration has not devoted as much time to the issue as he would have liked. But the passage of nationwide fuel efficiency standards within the last two year was a step forward.
